These are places I have visited in non trekking mode. WIP
This was a trip round Rajasthan in 2003. We travelled by train, car, bike and camel.
It was in the days before HD video and the camera I was using at the time (digital tape) suffered under the heat.
Swaying along on the hump of a camel whilst the musicians played from the cart in front of us is a memory that has stayed with me for over 20 years.
In 2010 I visited Mongolia and did 3 trips there. The trek in the Altai mountains is in the Mountains section. Here we have the journey by van round the sights of Mongolia, staying mainly in ger camps.
Ethiopia
I did 2 trips here in 2013. The first was mainly wildlife and the second was seeing the cultural sights. Visiting Lake Tana, Gondor, Aksum, Lalibela amongst others
Amritsar and Himalayan Hill Stations
This was a tip I did right after the Singalala Ridge trek in 2018. We started in Amritsar and journed up into the Himalaya.
This was a trip to Upper Mustang in August – September 2023.
After flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara we headed north via Tatapani and Jomsom to Kagbeni and beyond eventually to Lo Mantang.
